We Are The Well
OK, everyone. The web address www.wearethewell.com has been proposed by Chris. I spoke with Micah and he and I really like it. We will probably buy .org and .net as well. Anybody have any concerns about it? We need to make a decision ASAP, so unless there are any major concerns, we'll go ahead and get it within the next day or two. Thanks!

I want to state first that I do like the name, I like the idea that we are the church and not the building. The only concern that I have is that it could be supposed that WE are the Well and that it is not Christ who is the Well. I guess what I am trying to say is that Christ is the one who provides the living water and not WE. If I am over analyzing, ignore me, but it is what came to mind for me.

Foust, isn't The Well synomous with us...the body of believers? Christ is the living water in the well. That aside, another concern I have with we being in our URL is that it could be interpreted as exclusive. But, I think I might be reading into this too much too. And, I really do like that we can own .com, .org & .net with this URL. --If anyone is reading this post and comments for the first time, please also reference back to the dialogue many of us have had on the other post, The Well's (dot)com before you comment here.

Foust makes a good point. It emphasizes one of our values (de-institutionalizing) while raising questions about the most central point of all--Jesus is The Well. I definitely don't want to send mixed signals.
Haffner also makes a good point. WE are Christs' body. WE are supposed to incarnate Him. But, still, WE are not the point. HE is. Perhaps we should go with

I'm not really serious about that...that could be confusing for not-yet-Christians.

I like tothewell, even though it may contradict the idea of "going" because I believe that it can show that we desire to take people to the living water. I can see the problem of it saying "come" or it seeming inclusive.
