Saturday Church??

Hey there my fellow planter / bloggers...ploggers maybe?

At my meeting with Craig (our coach) last Wednesday, he suggested that we have a conversation about doing church on Saturday evening as opposed to Sunday morning. One enormous advantage is that there are a couple of "Sunday morning only" churches in our location who might be willing to let us use their facility and their equipment on Saturday night for a small fee. This would save us all of the work of setting up / tearing down each week--which for a small church would be a lot of work for us.

The biggest concern I have about this is whether or not people who are unchurched would be willing to make a commitment to a Saturday night gig.

However, one of our options might be to do the Saturday night thing for the first 6 months and then find someplace else when we felt like we had a few more of the startup bugs worked out.

I'd love to hear your thoughts about this. But, I'd also like for us to talk it through. Would it be possible for us to meet next Saturday morning, the 4th of November? Say 9:30? Where? I'm not sure. You're all welcome to come to our place, although I know that's a bit of a hike for many of you. Let's hear some replies on the Saturday meeting AND on the Saturday church. Thanks everyone!
